Carol Coburn Bishop is Vice President and Controller of Southern
Plantations Group, Inc. (SPG), Albany, Georgia. SPG is a professional
land management and consulting organization providing services
to owners of and lenders to agricultural and timberland and
agribusiness.
Her responsibilities
include administration of the financial and accounting affairs
of SPG and its clients, including the design or adaptation
of accounting and reporting systems to meet specific client
requirements.
In addition,
Mrs. Bishop provides financial analysis and financial projections
for various consulting assignments undertaken by SPG. |
| Before
joining SPG in 1988, Mrs. Bishop was a member of a public
accounting firm where she was responsible for introducing
micro computer technology to clients and ensuring transition
to computerized accounting systems. Her earlier experience
included serving as auditor in the firm's auditing practice.
Mrs.
Bishop is a native of Albany, Georgia. She received the
B.B.A. degree, magna cum laude, in accounting from Valdosta
State University, the Master of Accountancy degree from
the University of Georgia and the CPA designation from the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Contact
